Would Car Insurance Discounts Help You Save Money?
I know a lot of people who have had the same insurance company for decades. They never really evaluate their policy or shop and compare. In fact, since so many of us pay our bills automatically through bank drafts, we hardly even even think about our coverage unless we need to make a claim.
But financial experts tell us that this is a big mistake. In fact, we are told to shop and compare auto policies every 12 months or so. There are a lot of reasons to do this.
* Auto insurance companies change their offers and underwriting policies. You may do better with another insurer this year, even though your current company was better for you last year.
* Your own life situation changes all the time. Have you bought another car, added a driver, or moved? Sometimes these large changes, or even much smaller changes, can affect your premiums.
* Have you spoken to an agent lately? You cannot expect your old agent to keep up with all of your life changes, and they may be able to help you if you take the time to talk to them.
